What We Cover

Country Music Journal is an online publication about country music: the artists, the records and the history behind them. We publish artist profiles, album reviews, features and history pieces, from the Grand Ole Opry and the Bakersfield Sound to the songwriters and performers shaping the genre now.

Who Publishes It

Country Music Journal is owned and published by West Coast Media Solutions Inc., a digital media and web design company based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The same team designs, builds and runs the site.

How We Work

Our stories are written from the public record: artists' own releases and statements, label and venue announcements, award and chart records, and reporting by other publications, which we credit when we rely on it. We do not publish invented quotes. Album reviews are opinion and are labelled as reviews.

Story bylines read "Country Music Journal Staff". Some story images are digital illustrations, and they are labelled as illustrations.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, tell us through our contact page and choose "Correction or Feedback" as the topic. We will check it, fix the story, and show the date it was updated.
